"Engaged citizenship is a key component of higher education--for students, for educators, and for our communities. At colleges and universities today, it is critical that we help students connect their studies to the real world and that we help them participate in our American democracy.
As some of you may know, the Center for Community Engagement (dubbed the CCE) is nestled away in the corner of the library. We are often mistaken to be the Writing Center; our next door neighbors.
Ashley (Ash) Klein has joined the CCE as an Administrative Coordinator. She comes to us from the business sector . She works 1/2 time in the CCE and 1/2 time in the Faculty Center (now CTET).
I'm excited to welcome Drs. Jeremy Qualls and Melissa (Missy) Garvin who are joining us as Faculty Fellows from Fall 2017-Spring 2020.
Classes start on August 22, and we're gearing up in the CCE.
I'm so excited to welcome Ashley Simon '16, and Gustavo Vasquez '16 back to the CCE!
