"I want to keep helping people and keep making relationships... be active, and keep helping the community." This is one of many positive takeaways Sonoma State students had after hanging out with Roseland Collegiate Prep (RCP) freshman for the day.

Last October, our community was hit hard when the devastating wildfires swept through Sonoma County. Although the news trucks and National Guard has left, our area is still in recovery mode, and will be for a very long time.

I was so fortunate to be in this year's production of Sonoma State's the Vagina Monologues.

I attended a public workshop held by the City of Cotati regarding an open space called Veronda Falletti Ranch directly across from City Hall. The 4 acre area is mostly brush with a few large oak trees.

"Shadow Day was so much fun! We got to go to Bio and the class was just like a high school class," says one Roseland Collegiate Preparatory high school student after sitting in on a college Biology lecture. Hopefully this student is taking AP Biology!

"It brings awareness to third world countries and shows that you can make a difference in the world." Jackeline, Sonoma State's Peace Corps Campus Ambassador is spreading her passion for traveling and service-learning by promoting one of America's largest non-profit organizations, the Peace Corps

Petaluma Health Center understands that our community comes first. Our mission is to understand and meet the needs of our community to further improve their daily lives. The Petaluma Health Center is a federally qualified health center or FQHC that is federally funded.

Every fall semester, Discovery Day provides younger students with their first exposure to higher education while providing college service-learners with an engaging opportunity for leadership and service.
