Service-Learning

Discovery Day
Discovery Day XIX
Sonoma State University hosted Discovery Day — a fun day where high schoolers could check out SSU and start dreaming about college. This year, the senior class from Roseland Collegiate Prep (RCP), participated in both their college-prep program and the CCE's Service-Learning program. As many schools in the county are shutting down this year, they're among the last graduating classes from RCP.

College Conversations Project Bridges SSU and RCHS Students through Service-Learning

This spring, students at Sonoma State University had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and into meaningful dialogue with local high school students as part of the College Conversations Project, a service-learning collaboration between SSU and Rancho Cotate High School (RCHS).

SSU Student Volunteering and Philanthropic Fundraising

While volunteering during college may seem nearly impossible given the delicate balance of classes and extracurricular activities, some SSU students made it happen this Spring 2025.

Community Engagement Through ENSP Service-Learning

"I've sort of lucked out in being able to get into the field that I've always envisioned myself to be in, right after school," says Kara Doolin, 2010 graduate.
