April 1, 2026 In April, 2026, SSU celebrated its 16th year of formal activities for Disability Awareness Month on campus with various engaging events promoting awareness, inclusion and accessibility that highlighted DSS students. In this year’s events, Disability Services for Students (DSS) had panelists including one led by Neurodiverse students, where the theme was aptly titled "Nothing About Us Without Us" which has been a common rallying term amid of the disability rights movement for decades – and still remains a powerful call to action of the work yet to be done in advocating for disability rights.

August 27, 2025 This year’s fair took place on August 27th, in the main quad. Students at Sonoma State had the opportunity to meet with over 50 employers, both private and public. Businesses and nonprofits, seeking to fill part-time jobs and internships participated. Proactively, a diverse range of organizations that would best fit any student, regardless of major or minor, were at the event. The part-time job, service and internship fair was a joint event between the career center and CCE (Center for Community Engagement) to help students find either part-time work to help with the expenses of college life or opportunities to build job experience with different volunteer positions or internships.

October 27, 2025 Sonoma State University hosted Discovery Day — a fun day where high schoolers could check out SSU and start dreaming about college. This year, the senior class from Roseland Collegiate Prep (RCP), participated in both their college-prep program and the CCE's Service-Learning program. As many schools in the county are shutting down this year, they're among the last graduating classes from RCP.

This spring, students at Sonoma State University had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and into meaningful dialogue with local high school students as part of the College Conversations Project, a service-learning collaboration between SSU and Rancho Cotate High School (RCHS).
