Changes at JUMP:
Goodbye Jodi and Welcome Genevieve
"One of the reasons I was attracted to this position is not only the programs JUMP provides to students, but the strong connection between JUMP and the service-learning opportunities provided through the CCE. I can't wait to get started!" And we here at the CCE are excited to work with her too.
Genevieve is thrilled to join the SSU Associated Students staff as the Community Service Coordinator for Join Us Making Progress (JUMP). Genevieve joins JUMP after completing a Masters in Higher Education at the University of Denver and working for two years as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Campus Activities. Genevieve worked towards the development of a student-run volunteer service program on campus, including on-going service projects at several area non-profit organizations. In addition, Genevieve worked with Greek Life, advising executive council members, working with IFC recruitment and Philanthropy and Community Service including helping plan the inaugural Greek Life Alternative Break.
Before her life in Denver, Genevieve worked for several years planning large-scale volunteer projects in Chicago for companies looking to give back to their community. Working with thousands of volunteers and hundreds of community partners, Genevieve confirmed her love for working with volunteers and service. That love began at the University of Mary Washington where Genevieve received her Bachelors of Arts in Geography and worked with the student-run volunteer organization Community Outreach and Resources.
Genevieve is living in Petaluma and most looks forward to exploring Northern California. She is especially excited for the beaches and fresh seafood, something less common in the land-locked states she's lived in before.
After four years at SSU, Jodi Roth has moved on to The Office of Service Learning and Volunteer Programs, West Chester University. We appreciate her years of service and wish her the best of luck.
