On July 1, Provost Lisa Vollendorf began her position at SSU. Dr. Vollendorf was a Spanish professor at CSU Long Beach and Dean of College of Humanities & the Arts at San Jose State University before joining us (read more about Dr. Vollendorf's background and the search process). As Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Provost Vollendorf is my supervisor's supervisor and has a key role to play in supporting the future of the CCE.

Through the efforts of faculty, staff, students, and community partners, we are able to extend student learning far beyond the classroom. Community partnerships help our students develop the skills they need to be responsible, empathetic, global citizens upon graduation," she says.
