On the CCE YouTube page, there are a slew of videos directed towards English and Spanish speakers who want to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccines. Each YouTube video is fairly short, anywhere between 3 to 5 minutes each. The videos feature Dr. Enrique Gonzalez-Mendez, M.D. from the Latino Health Forum and the Director of Community Engagement and Strategic Initiatives at SSU, Merith Weisman, Ed.D from the CCE. These videos ask questions such as, “If I already had COVID-19, do I need to get the vaccine?” or “Can pregnant people get the vaccine?”. These videos, among others, are used to elevate the message that the COVID-19 vaccine is safe for everyone.

These YouTube videos send a message to the community to show that the vaccine is safe and should be taken to further the fight against COVID-19. These videos were uploaded to the channel to be shared with Sonoma County and community partners. The videos are fun and easy to digest; the best part is it only takes up to ten minutes to watch two to three of them. These videos could be helpful for people on-the-go or for people who don’t want to dredge through hours of research to find answers to questions the CCE answered in three minutes and forty five seconds.

I really enjoyed going through the YouTube channel and watching the bite-sized videos. Being fully vaccinated myself, I see the good these videos are trying to do. The videos should be shared and used to show your friends or family who might have more questions about  the good of the vaccine and how it can be used as a force for change to go back to the “normal” so many people want to get back to.
